[hackerspaces] Time to process US 501(3)c application?

Another datapoint,

Many hackerspaces (and list members here) don't necessarily know what 501c3
is -- they are international hackerspaces that may organize as various
types of NGOs in the country they are based in.

There are features about international hackspaces that USA based spaces can
learn about here & now, like how Florencia organizes the hackerspace she
works with in Chile or what an Engetragener Verein (e. V.) is and why it's
so popular in Germany.

I would love to see how the legal framework differs around the globe, and
find out how to draw anything good from one place to the other for
inclusion/addition to the legal frameworks we try to exploit for spaces in
various regions of the USA.
