hi everyone,

couple more things:

1) this is a proposed budget that only includes the proposal to move into
the art studio upstairs - it is not the be all and end all of possible
budgets that we can look at on wednesday! i encourage anyone who has
alternate proposals, or proposed changes to this budget (like a proposed
change to include private spaces), to create additional documents for us to
look at based off the two proposed budgets that matt sent around:

- month of Nov budget (which will be different from other months due to
backpayments, deposits, etc.)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0At_6qzhQZBX8dHU0bWZaNkxpSkcyeG5WMVRwMVQ4aWc#gid=5
- future monthly budgets (after Nov when we will have normal monthly
costs):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0At_6qzhQZBX8dHU0bWZaNkxpSkcyeG5WMVRwMVQ4aWc#gid=6

2) regarding the higher dues amount entered, this part can be changed. we
were trying to get a good estimate that was closer to matching costs.
3) re: private space, as our compact is now worded,

   - *sudo room* strives to make assets and resources available to as many
non-member participants and beneficiaries as possible.
   - Note: no personal property should be stored in *sudo room* unless a
system for personal storage can be provided by *sudo room*.

we actually haven't decided how it would work to have private storage, how
much of a potential space we'd want to offer for private storage, how
people would request or be given private storage, how much we would charge
for private storage, etc. any ideas?
4) remember, the compact can be changed!
5) finally, on the issue of how private spaces might work if we just got
the art studio, i'm having a hard time imagining where, physically, the
private space would be (in the closet area of the art studio?).
6) posted breakdown on current amounts owed is shaded in green under costs
associated with 2135 broadway here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0At_6qzhQZBX8dHU0bWZaNkxpSkcyeG5WMVRwMVQ4aWc#gid=5
i
know that it's not the most transparent doc, would it be helpful for me to
write up a little guide to this part of the budget? i'd be happy to do that.

finally, i REALLY REALLY encourage folks, if at all possible, to try and
make it for as much of this wednesday's meeting as possible. if we get
started right at 7, we can make real progress towards deciding where to
move in nov.

- marina

ps - i'll try to be in the irc today through wednesday for anyone who wants
to talk about proposals, making a budget, understanding the current budget,
or any other sudo-activities! nick = mk30. url for anyone who needs it:
