[sudoroom] **CRITICAL** Update for 2135 broadway, Oakland, CA

Hey there Sudo people.

I dropped by the 2135 Broadway building and saw the owner George at 3
(he's always there at 3pm apparently) to see if there was any update on
some of the offices. Apparently, the empty office out front was just
secured by someone and the first floor room (near common area) was also
just snatched up.

I did not want to lose this opportunity at this location, though it does
seem like there's a lot of turnover in the building. Given that we're in
the first week of June already, George was willing to waive the month of
June rent. So I decided to put a deposit down on several of the rooms -
the "box office"; the orange closet (near the common area) and the
upstairs offices that Matt previously described.

We negotiated down to $575 for the box office and the orange closet
combined [I wrote him a check for $1,150]. Separately, he was willing to
rent the office #1 next to the reception upstairs for $300/month. [I
wrote him a check for $600].

Regardless of the collective Sudo Room decision on the space, I thought
with sharing just a couple offices with some of you folks in strategic
locations, we could then use the common areas for meetings, conferences,
classes, with a waiting/reception area as well as the box office room.

If anyone wants to join me at 6:15pm at 2135 Broadway, it would be great
to get a chance to celebrate over some beers nearby.
