[SpaceProgram] DARPA MENTOR Award to Bring Making to Education

Hi folks,

I'd heard this had happened, but here's a link to details:

I guess the good news is it demonstrates that DARPA see value in the maker
community: hackerspaces, makerspaces, fablab's, etc.

Although apparently "aimed at engaging high school students", it strikes me
that some of the points called out in the article relate to what we've
proposed it terms of "collaborative distributed manufacturing and design
experiments", mentoring and supporting the maker/ hacker approach to
problem solving and design, etc

What I'm not sure about is what impact it would/ should have - if any - in
shaping or modifying the current proposal to DARPA.
