Right now we have FosWiki (which does some stuff GoogleDocs does as 
well) and use mailman for mailinglists. I don't think it is unreasonable 
toe expect a participant in a hackerspace to be willing to learn to set 
up mail filtering rules.

Collaboration tools are a dime a dozen, one thing to keep in mind is 
what kind of collaboration you want. Is it aimed towards having a shared 
website? Or do you want one that is good for writing documents together? 
How tight do you want it to be integrated with other functionality, such 
as calendaring?
