[hackerspaces] Fwd: [austin-hacker-space] Defcon Talk

I think we are all on the same page (more or less). As I explained on the
Austin Hackerspace list, I think it would be valuable to have some kind of
"how-to" talk at Defcon as there are always new people at Defcon who do not
have access to a hackerspace in their city and may want to know how to get
one started.

My initial thoughts were a quick "how-to" setup a hackerspace talk to
discuss some of the issues are are all familiar with (legal, paying rent,
events, drama, etc). We could then either demo some cool stuff, talk about
new events that went over well in our spaces, and open the floor to
questions. I definitely want to be sure we can engage both noobs and
hackerspace veterans (if possible).

Another option is to discuss how hackerspace can better collaborate among
each other...but that is a bit broad and needs some more thought on my part
;)

Any other ideas/thoughts?

Thanks,
Matt
