[sudoroom] Human Rights Day

Timon, let's try scheduling your human rights concerns during waking hours, OK?

And a word to the wise, if someone doesn't answer the first three times you try calling them in the middle of the night when it's clearly not an emergency, that ought to be a cue that the subsequent six times will also be unsuccessful. Not cool.

If you're asking for respect and decency from the people around you, you gotta be willing to show some of that yourself.

To answer your question directly - you are correct in concluding that I am not eager for setting up office hours with you because I think we have a different sense of what constitute urgent matters that override customary decorum.

I think this probably would have been more appropriately discussed off-list. And under a relevant subject heading. But it seems as though you prefer to have this type of exchange publicly with no regard to the subject of conversation that you're willing to interrupt.

We all know you can spell properly, so let's schedule a time to meet up when your suggestion for time and place are more comprehensible.

And we're all still interested in hearing out your introduction, when you get a chance. I can imagine getting arrested and going to jail must be an intense experience. I think you'll find this crowd to have a sympathetic ear.

>>
>> The success of the first annual UN Forum on Business and Human Rights highlighted the growing momentum of the business and human rights movement globally. But ongoing protection gaps remain to be addressed and recent reminders of wide scale abuses of fundamental worker rights point to challenges for 2013 and beyond.
>>
>> These developments, and the results of a public consultation process, provide the frame for today's release by IHRB of our 4th annual list of Business and Human Rights issues to mark International Human Rights Day.
