Am I missing something? Google Groups doesn't exclude emails. We use Google
Groups in China for our hackerspace and the GG interface isn't even
accessible; people subscribe and unsubscribe using emails only.
I personally really like GG, the new interface especially. It has a bunch
of features that go well beyond mailing list and groups that could prove
advantageous to manage the mass amount of information that will be
inevitably generated. Honestly, the long criticism towards URL sounds like
nitpicking...
HSP was originally on GG; the reason I moved it to
lists.hackerspaces.orgwas in the hope that we could better promote
inter-hackerspaces
collaboration.
