[foodhackingbase] Call for Dortmund Mini Makerfaire now open!

Dear tech enthusiasts and artists, dear crafters, tinkerers and hobbyists,
dear FabLabs!

Please help us to spread the news and join us in Dortmund: On October 2,
2014, the first Dortmund Mini Makerfaire will invite visitors of all ages to
experiment, enjoy, craft and explore. As a highlight of the “Science Night
Ruhr – Climate Adventure” the first Maker Faire in the Federal State of NRW
will be organized in the cultural center Dortmunder U. Since the
post-industrial Ruhr Metropolis has always been a place for "Makers" of all
kind, we encourage creative people of all ages and professions to join us.

to you right away!

The Dortmund Mini Maker Faire - Ruhr is planned as a recurring and growing
event in the Ruhr region, with the Science Night being the Pilot Activity of
this new format. It will be combined with an “Innovative Citizen Week”,
designed and conducted by Fraunhofer Umsicht Institute in Dortmund. This
week will address stakeholders and citizens in Dortmund, focusing on
participative urban development strategies. The Maker Faire is scheduled as
a highlight at the end of this week, inviting a larger audience and more
makers from Germany and beyond.
