[foodhacking] experimental Incubator - parts needed for first 5 to 10 prototypes, recommendations

Hi there,
I've updated the table of parts and links where to buy them based on previous Arnd's suggestions
https://foodhackingbase.org/wiki/Projects:Experimental_Incubator/ei_prototype_designing
it is not complete and some things are in excess, I tried to put the parts which I understand that we really need at the top of the list, take it as a bit of the homework done. I'm not too sure now what to add or take away, my electronic skills are strained to the limit :-)
Any suggestions would be appreciated, if we could come up with list of thing to order after this weekend, I would do. I would like to order one or two sets and send it to someone who would be OK to test them. I can be one of them but not only me please!
Sincerely,

The set is based on exactly the things I wrote on the wiki so far and is
the same as the stuff I gave you when you were here in amsterdam.
The prototype-shield + headers + connectors that you got from me are
part of it. All you need to order are the temperature-probes, an
LCD-shield and any arduino.
I will, however, create a nice overview of the parts and how they go
together in a mail, soon.
The system works, but it is lacking the software to control the LCD and
read the probes; though they do work with test-software, it doesnt do
anything useful yet. That's where 'the rest of you' come in.
If so, would be you have

If you could have Erwin look at the wiki-page that I mailed last time
and provide comments; that'd be perfect.
Most of the stuff listed there also has an URL where it has been
ordered. The arduino you can get anywhere you want, the
connectors/resistors/etc are 'the usual stuff you get from an
electronics-store, anywhere' as mail-order will just make it expensive.

The reason you want to use an arduino for the *PROTOTYPE* is because it
comes with handy ways to program it (aka: serial port over USB, etc) as
well as the Arduino programming-environment to easily write software.
Once you're done with the *PROTOTYPE*, you re-design the system to all
fit on one custom-made PCB. But only when you know which features, pins,
headers, connectors, etc, you will need in your design. Perhaps you will
decide you want one of the temp-probes to be wireless (for measuring
outside temperature to know if you need to use Peltier or if you can
just use a fan); and then you need to add a 433Mhz module or something.
That is easy in an arduino-based *PROTOTYPE*, but not so easy to
add/change once you've made a custom-made PCB.
The final product should not contain an arduino inside; just a
microcontroller of the same type/series that's on the Arduino-boards.
An arduino-clone is fine too; i am sure there's some arduinoclones on
Dx.com that cost less than 17 euro, by now.

I will work on producing a good overview of what I think is 'the way to
go', I will send it to you for review and if you would like to have for
example Erwin also look at it, that'd be great.

Of course we're interested! I'll make sure there'll be a 'caretaker' for
the stuff produced this time, too ;)
We'll probably also have a clean-room for it, too!
