Hi Aimee and everyone,

I went to a hackerspaces.org revival discussion with maxigas and Mitch at CCCamp 2015, and I’m thrilled to see this happening! I helped coordinate an open-source Atlas of Innovation Spaces which includes hackerspaces, fab labs, makerspaces, and co-working spaces, so please take advantage of our Python code and/or datafields if they're useful: http://atlasofinnovation.com/ <http://atlasofinnovation.com/> In particular, feel free to use our map which can show all thousands of spaces at once.

Datafields: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U9BwfkqsDpekBjB9DkHUnKrLJigaIYWK0HX6zuM9Nv0/edit# <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U9BwfkqsDpekBjB9DkHUnKrLJigaIYWK0HX6zuM9Nv0/edit#>
Github: https://github.com/AnanseGroup/atlas_of_innovation/tree/feature/changes_for_data_validation <https://github.com/AnanseGroup/atlas_of_innovation/tree/feature/changes_for_data_validation>

I’ve moved on from the Atlas project, but the current team would love to collaborate if y’all are interested: anansegroup at gmail.com <mailto:anansegroup at gmail.com>

Much love,
Anna

Once that has been done then the volunteers who visit the hackerspaces can either make suggestions to the people responsible to update these along with other information or volunteer to do it for them.
