[hackerspaces] Tool ID tools?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a visual ID tool out there that newbies can use to figure out what a tool should be used for? 

I’m kitting out our circuits lab. I’m adding a mess of tools that are kind of hard to write on to say “use to cut wire or use with x, preferably not other things”.
I’m wondering if anyone has applied something like the MedSnap technology (https://medsnap.com/ <https://medsnap.com/>) to tools.
