[hackerspaces] Tool access scheduling/calendar software

We often have people send an email to the mailing list that looks like:
"Hello, I'd like to reserve the 60 watt laser cutter from 5pm to 6pm for
a project"
And that mostly works...
Last time I looked at "meeting room reservation systems" there were a
bunch of them, and plenty were open source. (Though I can't speak to the
quality of them.)
One of the issues with doing it via email or the web is that people
might come into the shop and just start using something without checking
if it's been reserved.
One way around that could be a SBC with a screen that shows the
reservation calendar or something. Maybe a Raspberry Pi plugged into a
monitor that displays upcoming reservations, and lives right in the
space or by the tool.
