[hackerspaces] Giving a talk on 3D printing and need some help

Depending upon your audience, you might want to address what it takes to
turn an idea into a 3D object: "Constructing" it in a CAD program,
converting it (if necessary) to a form accepted by your slicing program,
parameters of the slicing program, and the 3Dprinter itself. What might be
very helpful is to provide lists of available software packages. Even
having the name of a program can save a wannabe a lot of work. Even better
if you can give pointers on each program, or some of them at least.
