[hackerspaces] visiting Paris

Seconding what John said. The Musée is a must-see, a cornucopia of tributes
to engineering, technology and inventivity. No less impressive is the Arts
et Métiers subway station - but you'll have to go take a look yourself,
this is a surprise that shouldn't be spoiled !
