[hackerspaces] How to promote hackerspace inventions

Have you guys thought of sending out press releases to local news
organizations about the amazing things you are doing at your hackerspace...
including this Great Kit(TM)!!

I know that kind of local promotion has worked really well for some groups,
with attention from farther afield being triggered by the local reports.
