[hackerspaces] club mate recipes - not open source right?

Really nice info thanks to all! I was not even thinking too much about the "lady" in the logo, now I wonder ...

We will be making some some energy drinks at 29c3 with food hacking base as we did at last events but I'm not sure too much about mate, not too experienced with this substance kind of strong for me ... I generally use strong black tea in my ferments using some sugar source and probiotic cultures (with kombucha or others). I know Miloh from Noisebridge did "sudo pop" for years playing with mate ... It would be fun to try to do some small tasting of various recipes during the event.

Let me know if you are interested to do something like that, one way or other we will do "something" under food hacking base. More info in for now "non existing "probiotic power drinks section" :-) - I did not have time to edit it yet because I was sick :-()

Talk to you soon in person. Maybe concerning food hacking base we can take it out of the main hackerspace list I do not want this to look too much as promotion of this project :-) however I'm sure some people here will be interested as before ...

Sincerely,

FA

PS I want to target the "calories" in the drinks using some "good source" if sugar for example using non refined one and preferably coupling it with some fat to avoid blood sugar rush. It gives you energy (sugars) but for longer period of time without that peak which is not good for the body, plus of course you get the hit from the caffeine and derivates ...

Hey there,

I've started collecting recipes and consider developing a Club-Mate-like drink my ongoing project. Not really sure if it will come to anything, but it did result in a pretty good mead. Currently I'm working on a syrup which can be added to carbonated water to make an quick, easy and tasty Mate iced tea. After that it's "just" a matter of recreating the 'natural flavour' recipe. That's going to be awesome.

If you'd like to read more about my project visit https://hack42.nl/wiki/Gebruiker:Lurwah/Hack42-Mate

Yours,
Lurwah / Tijmen

hackers, hard to accept based on the predominant open source culture
paradigm and growing DIY bio culture,
