So. Accounting. I'm a massive pragmatist. To handle membership we have
one sqlite database and a 42-line Ruby script:

We have a bit more code to actually handle downloading our statement
files from the bank, but that's because we have to deal with
smartcards and screenscraping.

For our actual proper legal accounting we use Gnucash. It's good
enough (my girlfriend is an accountant, which helps).
