Howdy,

Techliminal will be closed this Wednesday Dec 28th, so we're moving back to
Caffe Mediterraneum (on Telegraph near UC Berkeley) for this week! The Med
should be good since not many people will be able to make it this week, and
we've had our meetup there before. It's relatively quiet, and public.

The next week (Jan 4), we'll be moseying back to Techliminal.

Last week's minutes:

Action items:

* Expect an email about our list of potential spaces:
http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Sudo_room/open_a_space
* Please contribute to our Fund-raising strategies, especially outlining a
plan and dependencies:
http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Sudo_room/funding_opportunities
* Also expect an email about our first MAJOR EVENT--a DNA bar-coding
workshop, emphasis on GMO testing, tentatively at the end of February.
** This is especially important because doing the workshop with some
initial results finished beforehand will be fun, engaging, and underscore
how much we would be able to do with our own space, equipment, etc.
Further, that we could take steps toward the kinds of un-GMOing these folks
did (and Michael emailed about):

Final note:
So far I've been doubling as secretary and facilitator, but it can be
difficult to stay in the conversation while taking notes, so perhaps we can
mix that up for our January 4th meeting (in two weeks)? Let me know if you
would be interested in facilitating or being secretary (if you would like
to facilitate, share some experience you've had, or if none, let me know
and we can chat about good strategies).
