company in the Raumfahrtzentrum Baden-Württemberg (RZBW). In addition to
the initial lineup with Prof. Reinhold Ewald (German ESA-astronaut), the
Space Station Design Workshop (SSDW) and diverse space organisations from

SpaceUp Stuttgart is back! (German news below)

SpaceUp is your unconference about everything space. It will return with
the slogan "Students meet Experts" to the Space Center Baden-Württemberg
(Raumfahrtzentrum Baden-Württemberg RZBW) on the 17th of July 2016.

This time, SpaceUp Stuttgart will be the Kick-Off event for the “Space
Station Design Workshop (SSDW)”! It is a great opportunity for the
participants and all interested people to get together and share their
opinions and get an insider's video into research and industry work. The
SSDW will bring an international and diverse touch to our unconference.

Due to the cooperation with the SSDW, we already have a line-up with lots
of awesome presentations by researchers, industry nsiders and of course by
local student teams.

SpaceUp applies the spirit of unconferences, AD-hoc-non-conferences or
BarCamps. By this, our emphasis lies on unconventional organisational forms
and without a pre-selected schedule of topics. This allows removing the
separation between the audience and the presenter. Everyone is a presenter.
Everyone can decide at the location during the event whether or not he or
she wants to talk about his/her favourite space topic, the master thesis, a
student project or what he/she is working on during the day job. This is
the most powerful aspect of SpaceUp.

SpaceUp Stuttgart kehrt zurück!

SpaceUp ist eure Unkonferenz zu allen Raumfahrtthemen und wird am 17. Juli
2016 unter dem Motto “Students meet Experts” im Raumfahrtzentrum
Baden-Württemberg stattfinden.

Diesmal wird das SpaceUp Stuttgart als Kick-Off für den “Space Station
Design Workshop (SSDW)” dienen! Eine einmalige Gelegenheit für die
Teilnehmer, aber auch andere Interessierte, sich untereinander
auszutauschen und Einblicke in Forschung und Industrie zu gewinnen. Durch
den SSDW wird es sehr international und vielfältig werden.

Aufgrund dieser Kooperation mit dem SSDW haben wir bereits jetzt ein
Line-up mit vielen Vortragenden aus Forschung/Industrie und natürlich
unserer örtlichen Studentengruppen für euch:

SpaceUp steht in der Tradition von Unkonferenzen, Ad-hoc-Nicht-Konferenzen
oder BarCamps. Damit liegt der Augenmerk auf bewusster Abwendung von
traditionellen Organisationsformen und ohne zuvor festgelegtes Thema, die
die Trennung zwischen Publikum und Vortragenden aufhebt. Jeder ist
Vortragender. Jeder kann sich vor Ort entscheiden einen Vortrag über sein
Lieblingsraumfahrtthema, Masterarbeit, Studentenprojekt oder aktuelles
berufliches Projekt zu halten. Das ist die absolute Stärke von SpaceUp.
