With a unique marketing campaign, information security provider Seccuris wants to spur grassroots creativity across Canada by distributing grants to non-profit groups known as community innovation spaces. Typically located in rented quarters, these entities enable innovation by providing physical space and equipment that would otherwise not be available to first-time or established entrepreneurs. “These local initiatives are one of the best kept secrets in Canada,” says Michael. “By encouraging this kind of homegrown ingenuity, our proposal will create new opportunities for Canadian communities, and build a larger pool of innovators and entrepreneurs to draw on.”

Sounds like they are/were trying to do this for hackerspaces in general, but follows same principle as HSP. I think it'll be worth getting in touch to see how they do what they do
