[Pen] New AP needed

I looked back at their products. They are very careful not to mention
802.11N or have the certified logo anywhere on their products, except
on some indoor AP gear. I'm guessing that due to their departure
("improvements?") compared to the spec they cannot or do not desire to
get certified.
M in their lineup evidently stands for airMax not MIMO since at least
for the Bullet there can be only one antenna.
Is there anything that has to be done to these to be compatible with
regular N devices, or is the airmax feature set just a compatible
super/subset?
