[Pen] New AP needed

Last I remember about this ancient AP is that you can run that on it.

I suppose another option is to build/buy a pair of antennae to screw in.

What the hell is with all the protect-the-consumer-with-ultra-low power-microwave emitters?  Seriously, a plane ride from DTW to LAX bombards the passengers with far higher frequency and shittons more energy than taping a wap54g to one's balls.

I've read (but have no experience with) many APs can get better range
when you install dd-wrt.  Let's you up the wattage, or some such.
