slowly - ramping up the census exercise again and I just noticed
that in the last 4 years the list of active spaces went from
1400+ to a bit less than 800 and I am wondering whether people
have some insights as to what's been happening and what are the
reasons for closure of spaces - </span></p>
<p><span class="mx_EventTile_body" dir="auto">has your hackerspace
closed in the last years? why? what lessons do you have to share
with others about the experience?</span></p>
<p><span class="mx_EventTile_body" dir="auto">about the census - are
you interested in working to bring life back into
hackerspaces.org hackerspace listings? you can contribute to the
census in a variety of ways</span></p>
<ul>
<li>visit your local hackerspace/s and beef up their hackerspace
page on hackerspaces.org - this will help people who visit the
website to get a flavour of what goes on in the hackerspaces</li>
<li>when you go on holiday use the hackerspaces.org to do a
hackerspace tour and update the pages on the way - a fun way to
connect with the wider community<br>

<li>if you are part of a space update your page - let people know
what they can expect to see in your space - if you have open
days - ongoing projects etc. you could also add a list of things
you need that people can donate to support you - make sure your
links are live and up to date<br>

<li>if you cannot or do not want to travel and prefer to help from
your location - you can help by checking listings and updating
the census page here: <a
