Yes, I do understand that most spaces choose to have a legal
body, and with good reason. I also recognise that we failed to
create a mailing list where list members can safely discuss
straighforwardly illegal options, and therefore you will not see
those represented here. My question was more about the practice
of people sporting these titles in their signatures. Most
hackerspaces I visited had a legal body and a board of directors,
but their role was treated much more informally, so it was not
treated as an important identity or social role, even if it was
clear for everybody who are the more central figures in the
social dynamics of the space.
