[hackerspaces] kits stolen at HOPE-X

This kind of thing is a real drag. Even TOOOL has had significant amounts of kit stolen at HOPE in past years. I had a close call once, I have to keep the cash box chained to the table now at all times. But it's a shame one has to keep everything locked down to prevent major theft like this. Sadly bad actors do intermix with the majority of good folks at cons.
