[hackerspaces] Does the maker culture get the step on the hackers culture?

I'm going to attempt to settle the matter.  A makerspace has machines
makes physical objects.  A hackerspace doesn't necessarily have
machines, but has computers and wifi.  The former is more tied to the
old paradigm and isn't as interested in paradigm shifts or political
motivations.   The latter is a new paradigm whose significance is
waiting to be realized.
