[hackerspaces] question

Our booth had a grand time at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire. The kids however short circuited some of our LEDs by touching the battery terminals  to the LEDs so what can I do to "recycle" the broken LEDs. We did Squishy Circuits by the way. 

What kind of project can we do with the short circuited LEDs?  I hate to throw them out.
