Yes, it is open source.

And sure, it's got some things missing still, but they've been making
pretty steady progress since I started using it earlier this year. I feel
it's good enough that I've been encouraging lots of non-techies to start
using it. It's very easy to use, and its a good gateway drug to encryption
for people, IMO.
