[hackerspaces] Selling 3d printed objects

At Makers Local 256 we have a "we'll show you how to do it yourself and
even help every step of the way if we can" sort of way about things. So
when people want to print something in 3D we would show them how to do it
step by step and really just accept a donation to the space to cover the
cost of the plastic they are taking away. Sometimes people want to donate
to the shop afterwards to help keep it going in the future so others might
learn how do similar things far into the future.
But if one member wants to do the whole thing for someone then it would be
an agreement between them and the person wanting the print.
You could weigh the printed object to determine how much material was used
then charge for that. Then you could choose an amount of hourly "labor" of
your time to run the software and making it actually do the print.
