Along these same lines, I noted on my blog on Nov 30, 2012 (re-posted
from LaughingSquid.com)
http://laughingsquid.com/the-moma-acquires-video-games-for-a-new-category-of-artworks/
"The Museum of Modern Art [New York City] has currently acquired 14
popular video game titles from the past and present (with a total of
about 40 being acquired in the future) to add into an upcoming new
category of artworks in their collection."

So, my question is: Who is going to maintain these machines and how?
Where do you find a Cathode-Ray Tube for a 1980 PacMac? The
High-voltage section?
There are a bunch of parts in those things that just don't last very long,
and there are not many (if any?) still being made.

And, this is, like a WHOLE new classification of Art Restoration that
nobody has thought of before,
I think.
