[hackerspaces] Firearms in Hackerspaces?

Al,

1) Some people simply like guns. Showing them off to other gun enthusiast
is not dangerous when they are not loaded and the people are sane.
2) For protection because hackers are typically a little nuts. I have yet
to meet a hacker who does not have a personality flaw. Who's to say someone
won't get pissed and come shoot up the place one day. Have an armed police
officer in the space makes you feel a little more secure.
