[hackerspaces] multiple VPN connections to 1 server

Have you tried multiple users?

The restriction is on two simultaneous users if I recall correctly, and every username can be used in one session only.

It is however, possible to patch out that two user restriction, and effectively use Win7 as a Win2008 without reinstalling/installing server 2008, but that would violate your license agreement and is beyond the scope of this list.

Is it possible to run an openvpn virtual appliance,in VMware Player or VBox, and open that port in the VMware/VBox NAT service?

Vriendelijke groet,
Sincerely,

hey list,

i have a server running Windows7 pro (no i can't install WindowsServer2008 on it because i don't have physical access to the server)
and i'd like to connect to this VPN server with more than 1 user (2 maybe 3) to access its VPN-shared hard drive..

when i try to do that now, i get "error 937". has anyone an idea how i can fix this?

i've read that Cisco VPN causes BSOD. and that shrew vpn is unstable.

is there any other way without installing windows server 2008?

happy hacking,
y
