At RaumZeitLabor [1], we have those two storage systems:

a) Samla Boxes from Ikea.

(not sure which size) plus Ikea shelves (I think Gorm & Ivar),
documented at [2]. That looks like this [3]. The concept is that each
members can buy a box for 10 EUR, which is a more than they cost when
buying them from Ikea. That way we can finance the shelves.

b) Pharmacy Storage

This nice piece which was bought from a pharmacy [4] [5]. Not sure how
it's called in english, in german it's called "Schrankanlage". The
thing isn't built up completely, but already has 102 drawers. The
right to use one drawer is 10 EUR.

We got that one used for about 300 EUR (which included more pieces
than you can see on the picture).

Because we charge money for the boxes/drawers, people only buy as many
boxes as they really need. If people do large projects which don't fit
into boxes, they find a more-or-less appropriate place themselves and
label their projects (usually).
