To partially offset our higher rent costs when we had to move we set
up one of the offices as an 'Incubator Room' for people keen to make a
business out of making/hacking, for the cost of an additional full
membership they got a desk they didnt have to clear, internet and
electrons for their gear, having tenants doing useful and interesting
stuff as well as occupying the space during traditionally quiet times
(when the bulk of us are at our day jobs) has proven to be a huge
success.
The rules we came up with were pretty simple, obey the same rules as
everyone else with the exception of having to clear your space and
once you're established make way for others who need the opportunity
more.
