It looks like rewards are trickling out. Back on Aug 16th Sabrina Deitch sent out an email that said (in part)
 <quote>
In response to some confusion as to whether teams would receive 1 or 10 of the solder stations, lead cutters and braid for the amazing work you did as part of the GGHC, element14 has decided that we will honor the maximum expectations of our teams and therefore will be shipping any missing items to you directly from our warehouse.

Below is a summary of prizes that your team will receive as a participant.

$900 USD (support funds for your project build)
One 1 yr license to CadSoft EAGLE Pro
10 soldering stations (exact skus will vary by country and availability)
10 ESD Safe Lead cutters
10 Desoldering braid
 </quote>

I received a box of 10 desolder braid and 10 lead cutters and the EAGLE Pro license. Today I got a notice that 9 (nine) weller WCL100 soldering stations & tips (ST-1) were shipped. Not sure why its 9 and not 10, but 9 > 0 so its a lot better.

Hope the other sites are doing ok... and non-us sites get shipped from local warehouses to avoid extra taxes, customs fees, etc. I hear the Brazilians box got held up for taxes.

In response to the ongoing confusion, element14 will now take on that commitment and ensure that each team receive the prizes communicated and we will ship all the outstanding items to each team. I am taking on this project directly and sending out emails today to each contact with details of the prizes and timing around shipping. Due to various electrical requirements in each country and inventory on hand, the delivery times may vary.

Thanks for being a part of the Great Global Hackerspace challenge. If you have any questions, concerns or do not receive an email from me as a participating team within the next 24 hours, please don't hesitate to reach out and contact me directly at sdeitch at newark.com.
