yeah it's kind of a part of living in a society.

as long as the political discussions are limited to relating directly
to hackerspaces, I think it's fully on topic.

enable conversation threading in your mail client and it's quite
trivial to delete threads you don't want to see.

There's many topics on this list I don't give a rats ass about so i
just delete them, and I'm guessing same for you.  Why pick on
politics?
