I can't see how this would be a good thing at all. If the government wants
such information, I'm sure they're already collecting it via undercover
agents.
Even small groups of people can vary widely in their opinions of
hackerspaces, starting with the local police department and including your
coworkers and family. Large groups will vary much more wildly. One side of
an organization can be courting you while the other is working against you.
Happens all the time.
