[hackerspaces] Translating word 'hackerspace' to other languages?

in german we don't translate it... it's still hackerspace.
i mean, we also don't translate basketball or cursor. and if people do it it just sounds silly.
the benefit of language is its ability to adapt. and if a foreign term makes sense you don't need to find a local one...
