The open desk system sounds like a pretty good one to me for longterm, and if there are competing projects the group could decide which ones take priority. In the short term, unless we have the revenue to cover costs through membership dues alone, I would be down to commit to subleasing (at same square footage cost) some of the space for 2-3 months for personal non-conflicting use. Whatever it takes to be solvent.<br>
<br>I see a nice allocation of open desk space with good longterm projects supported by the community, and clean desks where people pick up completely afterward, and task specific workstations/tools. What are people thinking as far as physical layout? I think with a few sheets of plywood and a few sticks of 2X4 we could build some nice long ones around the perimeter. Also an island in the middle? 2-tiers w/ power outlets? 120VAC, 12VDC, 5V USB? It's so nice to have a room picked out so we can really start brainstorming on physical layout!<br>
