Thanks for sharing, I appreciate the encouragement to play it cool, especially in this interim period. This makes me feel the urgency of ratifying some reasonable version of a compact soon (one draft is here: http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Sudo_room/Compact) so we can have a clear process to both understand potential and current contractual obligations, plus take collective action to ensure we are able to do great stuff in the future (like art installations + parties, possibly with permits if necessary, etc).

Events: Since tenants are in charge of their own Janitorial, we expect that all trash will be removed by tenant and all areas cleaned and vacuumed after any common area use. Alcohol may only be served in common areas with a City Permit, which is available for a cost, I believe, of $30 per event (not for sale, but for consumption). Without a valid alcohol/event license, alcohol may only be consumed in the building behind closed office doors and not in any public areas; all liquor, wine, beer bottles, etc. must be removed and not left in common area trash bins. Smoking must be done at least 25 feet from entrances/exits of the building, preferably with the nearest doorway closed.
