[sudoroom] art murmur final plans and publicity

Do we actually have anything on the ferrofluid project for this month? Last
I heard from Tracy, she didn't have time to work on it for this week's
First Friday.

We actually have all the ingredients needed to make several gallons of
ferrofluid right now - just need to put it together. Assuming the magnetite
powder I got is fine enough, it should just be a matter of mixing one part
magnetite powder with 3 parts oleic acid, then mixing in 17 parts of
kerosene or baby oil.

Tracy - do you have any time this evening to help mix up a quick batch? It
shouldn't take very long to figure out how good of a ferrofluid we can make
using this method. Plus this approach is pretty non-toxic (compared to the
chemical synthesis using FeCl and ammonia), so we can easily do it at
sudoroom or TechLiminal. Once we have a batch, we can experiment with it at
our ease...
