[sudoroom] Great Meetup Last Night, Folks!

A pleasure to meet some of you last night. For those not present, I was
part of a crew trying to launch a hackerspace in West Oakland over the
summer. Plans fell through, but am very excited to have a second
opportunity to cocreate a space like this in Oakland :)

Here is the old Redmine on which we were planning and plotting, scheming
and dreaming:

The image paths need to be fixed; they are basic floorplans and photos of
the building(s). The project got put on pause because the landlord was
going to put up 50K to get the sprinkler systems up to code but was stymied
by his ex-wife  >_<

Plans included a RASH community computer lab, a wetlab, a softlab (for
sewing & clothesmaking), a fablab, a foodlab, upstairs living spaces, a
'coffin hotel' next to the kitchen, vertical and rooftop gardens (we have a
very nice 3D model of this my friend Evan made in SketchUp) and probably
some things I am forgetting.

Would love to hear your thoughts!
