That is to say we don't need to focus right now. We need to prove that hackerspaces are creative and productive places for innovation. We could do a FTL experiment if it was doable for 1-5k and had sufficient wow factor. Criteria should be based on achievability, and wow factor. One should ask ones self is this a low hanging fruit and are other people doing this. Spots lacking are closed cycle ecological habitats, food production, industrial and manufacturing processes, etc.</span></font></div>

Interesting! I'd say Part II, Milestones 1, 2, 6?<div><br></div><div>I would also like to draw attention to the tonnes of documents National Academies Press and RAND have on the topic of space. One example is the <a href="http://www.nap.edu/catalog.php?record_id=13354" target="_blank">NASA Space Technology Roadmaps and Priorities</a>.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We should condense some of the priorities & focus areas from the many blueprint/roadmap/vision documents out there then open two public threads. One to see the agreement with the focus areas we're going to select, and another to start brainstorming projects that can be undertaken.</div>
