Hi,<br><br>Thanks for your reply. I must admit I know next to nothing about law, but after skimming through the text of the Outer Space Treaty ( <a href="http://www.state.gov/t/isn/5181.htm">http://www.state.gov/t/isn/5181.htm</a> ), I have found many statements in there to agree with (eg: no weapons of mass destrucion in space, no claiming of land, etc).<br>
<br>To be honest, I think legal terms that work for space missions are very poorly developed. Maybe even a hackerspace grant could be established to summarize and clarify legal concerns for such missions... <br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

Also makes me wonder if a Hackerspace competition to design & build a LIFE<br>
Bio-module prototype might be worthwhile? Perhaps even a design that<br>
attempts to address the complaint that Phobos LIFE was in violation of the<br>
Outer-Space Treaty?<br>
