I agree with that approach. Even more so, can we add a category to tag<br>
accelerators/innovationhubs/techshops, etc.? Maybe "Other"?<br>
<br>
ps: having written/organised quite some research over different<br>
categories of Shared Machine Shops, i am happy to look into the<br>
categorisation problem later on.<br></blockquote><div>Maxigas, this would be a great push for this effort!!<br></div><div>One thing that comes to mind is the difference of Categories as rather free assigning of attributes (this is also the Semantic Wiki understanding, see list at [1]), vs a more taxonomic approach, that might be called "Classes". With the first, you may add as many as you want, with none excluding the other, at least formally. For the second, it's like in Biology - something is either/or an insect, mammal, ... (but has to be be something).<br></div><div>I think your work is more taxonomical?<br></div><div>In general, I believe that so we may start new organizations that fit new realities, and to maintain the momentum of existing spaces while pushing them into growth rather leaving them to recession - it must be useful to develop our common vocabularies. Otherwise it is, for all of us in the roles of space members, planners, etc., more difficult to have grounded aspirations, and debates with each other.<br></div></div><div class="gmail_quote"></div><div class="gmail_quote"><br><div>Best</div><div>David/dcht00 from <a href="http://totalism.org" target="_blank">totalism.org</a> hackbase [2]</div><div><br></div><div><div>[1] <a href="https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Categories&offset=&limit=500" target="_blank">https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Categories&offset=&limit=500</a></div><div>[2] <a href="https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/Hackbase" target="_blank">https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/Hackbase</a><br></div></div><div><br></div><div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">
