Techshop is a for-profit company, so I think it clearly falls into a
'Tool Gym' or Co-Working space. Both Techshop and Pokono have been
(in the past) listed and removed as 'hackerspaces'.
IMHO, there is a clear difference between registered non-profit
hackerspaces, 'for benefit of members' hackerspaces, and 'tool-gym'
CoWorking spaces. I think it's false advertising IMHO.
I don't hold anything against TechShop, they are pretty awesome. But
it should be clear they are neither by members, nor are not a
non-profit (two things that IMHO, a hackerspace needs one or other
of).
