GenesisCorp seems like a good hackerspace to me. Their goal is to get people to have skills which they do not currently have so they can fill vacant jobs and build a stronger community. They have 120 members according to the wiki so they must be doing something right. I would like to get 30 members in our space.

I feel like this conversation has come up a few times in the few years I have been on this list. It always sounds the same too. There is no definition of a Hackerspace.

On Wed, Jan 2, 2013 at 1:56 PM, Steven Sutton <ssutton4455@gmail.com> wrote:
We're actually really friendly and inviting, which is why we've been able to almost double our membership over the last 9 months. Sponsors work to bring new members into the community and introduce them around. It's very helpful.
