Hello! This is exciting! I grew up in Southern California myself and have good friends who live in Lake Forest-- I will throw out the word! <br><br>Lake Forest tends to be a pricey area, but I'm sure as you guys use the connections you develop and get the word out more (Mel had great advice on this), you'll be able to figure out your options. Looks like you guys just got started "officially" recently, so take your time, attract interest, meet weekly, and continue to develop a core group of passionate people who really want to see a hackerspace happen. That said, once you have that, you'll increasingly feel the pressure to "find a space", so it's never to early to start looking around and checking out your options and exhausting your connections.<br>
<br>Good luck and remember to use the larger community as a resource (good job doing that so early on!) for getting ideas, sifting through paperwork, asking for help, etc. :) I may pop into your IRC to say hello and see if you guys need anything. Keep using this list as a resource-- it's been *super* helpful for us in the formation of Splat Space (Durham, NC) and Interlock (Rochester, NY). You'll find a lot of great stuff here and lots of fun ways to participate in the larger hackerspace community. <br>

Hello,<br>My name is Jonny & am planning on starting a new hackerspace in uncharted waters. I just wanted to do a shameless namedrop, and try to catch anyone that might be interested in helping/joining/donating?<br><br>
The name of our hackerspace is TinkerByte && hopefully we can find a space in Lake Forest, CA (I know there is some great industrial space, and it's a great neighborhood) <br><br>I've setup a little setpage & the startings of a wiki at<br>
