I think you can have a monetary prize small enough to keep it light-hearted, but big enough to pay for a part of the winner's budget. <br>
<br>The good people aren't in it for the money, and the best prizes recognize that.<br><br>Also, competition is *a* motivator for *some* people. Nothing that happens on the hackerspace scene works for everyone.<br><br>
No one has put forth anything concrete, and in the meantime we'll be experimenting with models at our space (Baltimore Node). I encourage those who have the time, interest, and means to do the same. We'll either stumble onto something insanely awesome or find a few things that don't work.<br>
